Lending services
At Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE libraries/FlexiLearn centres enrolled students, staff and other TAFE students can borrow resources.
Students
Current Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE students are automatically enrolled with the library service. For most on-campus students, a charge for a student ID card is included in enrolment fees, and the card needs to be presented when borrowing from the libraries. However, off-campus students whose address is away from the major campuses, are generally not charged the ID fee, and therefore will not have an ID card. If these students want to start using campus facilities (eg. computers), an ID card will need to be purchased.
Off-campus students unable to call personally at one of the libraries can request loans and information searches by contacting library staff by phone, fax, email, postal mail or submitting an online request (link to loan request form).
Other TAFE students
Current students of other Australian TAFE institutes can join their local Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE library to borrow resources and access services at that campus. This service is extended as part of reciprocal borrowing agreements by participating TAFE organisations. Proof of current enrolment such as student ID card or correspondence (eg. assignment sheets) from the home institute that shows ID number should be presented when first borrowing.
Staff
All current institute staff (teaching and support) are welcome to use library resources and services. Proof of employment or current staff ID may be requested if staff are unknown to centre personnel.
What can be borrowed
The following table shows normal borrowing conditions. These may be varied to meet specific needs.

Because of the costs involved, interlibrary loans, ie, loans from other institutions, are only available to Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE staff and students.
