Tuition fees information
An international student must pay all fees for the first semester of a course before starting to study.
When a course is one semester or less, all fees must be paid at the time of enrolment by the date on the Letter of Offer.
Where a course is longer than one semester, the fee for the first semester must to be paid before starting to study.
Students will not be allowed to start their study until all applicable fees are paid. This includes any Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) accommodation booking fees, airport reception fees, late fees and administration charges from this offer.
Tuition fees may or may not include the cost of individual text books, stationery, uniforms, materials, tools or other individual items of equipment necessary for the course. Visit the International courses page and check the course information.
The structure and duration of TAFE Queensland courses are subject to change. Course fees reflect the content of the course and the award, not the duration, and therefore there is no automatic reduction of tuition fees if you complete the course in a shorter time than the published length of the course.
Tuition fees may be reduced or refunds may be granted only if you are granted sufficient credits or exemptions such that the course is completed in a shorter than normal time.
Fast tracking
If you 'fast track' and complete your course in a shorter time than that specified in your Letter of Offer, you are not entitled to any refund of tuition fees. If you have not paid your total tuition fees, you will not be eligible to graduate.
Slow tracking
You may 'slow track' and complete your course in a longer time than that specified in your Letter of Offer on the condition that you continue to study full time (as a requirement of your student visa). To do so, you must have the approval of your Faculty Director as well as the Institute Director. There will be no additional fees involved unless you are repeating failed modules or undertaking additional modules.
