Refund policy

Refunds for international students at Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE are made according to the policy below.

How to apply for a refund

  1. All applications for refunds must be made in writing. Complete the Application for Refund form available from Customer Service Centre or International Student Administration.
  2. Forward the application to the Senior Support Service Manager by registered mail, courier or personal delivery as soon as you are able to do so.
  3. Full refunds of amounts owed to the student will be made within 14 days of receipt of the signed Application for Refund.

Eligibility for a refund

You are eligible for a refund when:

Conditional offers

It is the responsibility of applicants to provide the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE with evidence that conditions have been satisfied prior to entry to course as stated in the Letter of Offer, before that course begins. Penalties will apply if the applicant is unable to satisfy these conditions of entry or if they do not advise SQIT and subsequently have to withdraw from the conditional offer.

Non payment of fees

Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE reserves the right to withhold granting the Award attained by the student if student fees remain outstanding.

This agreement does not remove the right to take further action under Australia's Consumer Protection Laws and the dispute resolution processes at SQIT do not circumscribe the right to pursue other legal remedies.
