Partnerships with universities
International students can gain credit towards a University degree program by successfully completing a Diploma course at the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE.
As an example, arrangements exist with the University of Southern Queensland (also in Toowoomba) for the Institute's Diploma of Information Technology students to articulate directly into the University's Bachelor of Information Technology program. A similar arrangement exists for the Institute's Diploma of Photography students to articulate to the Bachelor of Photography with the University of Central Queensland.
Students who have completed a Diploma course may receive up to 1.5 years credit towards a 3 year Bachelor program at University. All credit transfer and articulation arrangements need to be confirmed through the individual University being considered.
