How to apply
Follow the steps below to apply to study as an international student at Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE.- Complete and submit the online application form for international students. The International Programs Office will reply with information about the next step in the application process
OR
Complete a SQIT course application form [PDF 426kb] for International Students and attach supporting documents as noted on the application form.
Once you have completed and signed the form:

scan and email to: sqit.enquiries@det.qld.gov.au;or

airmail to: the International Programs Co-ordinator, International Programs Office, SQIT, PO Box 80, Toowoomba Qld, Australia 4350; or

fax to: +617 4639 2682.
If your application is successful:
- the International Programs Office will reply with a letter of acknowledgment called 'Letter of Offer'.
- before the expiry date on the letter you must:
- read, sign and return the Refund and Transfer Policy document.
- read, sign and return the Terms and Conditions document.
- send in other documents requested if the letter has certain conditions listed in the Letter of Offer.
- Pay the fees indicated. Please pay via credit card, or bank draft.
The International Programs Office will immediately send back to you:
- a receipt
- a Confirmation of Enrolment document (CoE) for you to take to the nearest Australian Embassy
- advise you of the date of the Student Orientation and formal course start date
- any other relevant pre-departure information. When you know your flight details, please sign and return the Notification of Arrival form [PDF 171kb] so the International Programs Office can assist you to arrive and settle in.
The International Programs Office will, if applicable:
- send your Overseas Student Health Cover details and money to Medibank Private for them to register your name and issue a membership card-this will be given to you after you arrive in Australia.
