How to enrol

Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE enrolment staff are able to process your student enrolments, subsequent changes to enrolments and time-to-pay services.

Students are able to attend classes once they are enrolled and fees have been paid or necessary time-to-pay arrangements are made.

Ways to enrol

To ensure a successful enrolment please use one of the following methods:

Get out of line...Get on-line. Enrol online

TAFE Queensland has made it easier and more convenient for you to complete your enrolment with the introduction of online enrolments.  TAFE Queensland's Student Self Service website provides a fast and secure way of managing your student records and enrolling online. The site allows you to quickly and easily enroll into a program, change your personal details, view your academic records and make payments to your student account without having to queue in line and at a time that is convenient to you.  To enroll online today go to enrol.tafe.qld.gov.au

Enrol in person

Submit completed new student personal details form and enrolment selection form at the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE Customer service centre near you.

Enrol by mail/fax

Mail/fax your completed new student personal details form and enrolment selection form to the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE campus that you are undertaking your studies through.

Health Care card and Pensioner Concession card holders must fully complete the Centrelink Concession Validation Consent on the enrolment selection form to be eligible for the concession fee.

Enrol by telephone

All continuing students and full fee paying new students are able to enrol by phoning the campus at which the course is being undertaken. Fees must be paid by credit card at the time of enrolment. Course information such as class names and numbers will be required at this time. Please access the example Enrolment Selection Form (PDF, 127KB)  for guidance.

Late enrolment

Late fees may be charged for enrolments received after the last day of the enrolment period.

Confirmation of enrolment

You will be issued with an enrolment confirmation detailing classes/units of competency and their associated fees in addition to being supplied with a student information guide (PDF, 264KB)

It is the responsibility of all students to verify the enrolment information on the confirmation of enrolment receipt provided at the time of enrolment. This confirmation receipt must be shown to the teacher at the first lecture to guarantee entry to class.
